Joe's story of Mary's Lament renewed that connection for me. I could not put this book down. Outstanding insight into the struggles of the mind and its beliefs versus the desire to love from the heart. Thanks Joe. Beautifully written!
"Connection Renewed"
This book gives an excellent understanding of the beginnings of Christianity. The author did a great job in conveying both the complicated politics of the times and in bringing to life the characters. The story was rich and engaging. The author is clearly a scholar and a talented writer.
Mary's life, it seems, truly conveyed the values of kindness and love despite tragic circumstances. Ironically, the same themes and issues are relevant in contemporary society. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys historical fiction.
